Ann Boehm

Ann M. Boehm, 91, died Tuesday, December 30, 2003 in Bismarck, ND. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 3, at Church of Corpus Christi, 1919 N 2nd Street, with Rev. Luke Steiner officiating. Burial will be in the Mandan Union Cemetery. Visitation is from 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM Friday at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E Divide Avenue and will continue at the Church of Corpus Christi one hour before services. The vigil service will be held at Eastgate Funeral Service at 7:00 PM. Friday evening. Anna Grenz Boehm was born May 15, 1912, in Napolean, ND, the daughter of Margaret Oberlander Grenz and Christian C. Grenz. She graduated from Mandan High School in 1932 and married Frank H. Boehm, August 26, 1935. Together they raised their family in Mott, North Dakota, where Frank owned and managed the Our Own Hardware Store for 45 years. Ann was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of America Mott Chapter, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Monday Study Club, St. Vincent's Alter Society, St. Vincent's Church and the Church of Corpus Christi and St. Catherines Church Valley City. Ann's great satisfaction in life was "the way my children turned out? I'm proud of each one!" Ann lived a full life. She loved reading, music and painting. She translated text into Braille for the blind, made over 200 quilts, and loved baking. She had the "pleasure of being home with my children." Ann's life was an example of positive attitude, love, faith and gratefulness. Ann is survived by six daughters, one son and spouses: Kathleen Schlosser, Casper, Wyoming; LaVonn Dick Steiner, Bismarck, North Dakota; Don Kathy Boehm, Bismarck, North Dakota; Pat Cliff Zent, Rapid City, South Dakota; MaDonna Dennis Stanford, Valley City, North Dakota; Cyndy Tom Gaj, San Antonio, Texas; and Lori Court Shereck, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; 27 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and Ann's only sister, Freda Brubaker, Waterville, Ohio. Preceding Ann in death were her parents; her husband, Frank, who died on October 4, 1987; her brother, Ernest and his wife Margaret; and her brother-in-law, Al Brubaker.
