Eddie Moch

Eddie Moch, 67, Bismarck, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2011, on a glorious winter morning at his home with his wife Jean and son Jack at his side. Services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, February 8, at Spirit of Life Church, Mandan, with Rev. Chad Gion officiating. Burial will be held at the North Dakota Veteran's Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until 7:00 pm Monday at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, where a rosary/vigil will begin at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Eddie was born April 8, 1943, on the Braddock farm. He was raised near Braddock and attended Braddock schools, graduating in 1961. He entered USAF, trained at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX and attended supply training at Madison, WI. Eddie's favorite experience of being in the Airforce was his time spent in Okanawa, Japan. He received the Air Force Good Conduct Medal 12 Dec 61 – 11 Dec 64 and was honorably discharged on December 6, 1965. He returned to Braddock and continued farming with his brother Arnold on the Creek Dairy Farm. He married Jean McLean on May 30, 1979. They resided on the farm until 1990 when they sold their cattle and moved to Menoken and both of them took jobs in Bismarck. The family moved to Bismarck in 1993 and Eddie went to work for Fargo Paint and Glass. He installed windows in many commercial buildings, including the University of Mary and other area schools. He retired in 2008. In 1998 they purchased land in rural Bismarck, where they established Wagon Wheel Ranch, and moved their home, which they built in Braddock, to Bismarck. Eddie then started a snow removal and hay cutting business. In his spare time, he was inventing attachments for his Bobcat and built a hydraulic scaffold. In 1989, Eddie and his brother, Arnie, built an Eagle Nest home in northwest Mandan. Privileged to share his life is his wife, Jean; son, Jack; his grandchildren, Joshua John, Justine John, Erica McLean, Brittany McLean, Mark McLean and great grandson, Ayidan Buchcanan. He also leaves two sisters, Angeline Matt Erhardt, Mandan, and Delores Laursen, Bismarck; three brothers, Clarence Liz, Napoleon, Andy Cheryl, Bismarck, and Arnold Gloria, Bismarck; many nieces and nephews, whom he spent a lot of time with and treated them as his own; and special friends, Kriss and Paula Enzi, Beach, Dave and Patty Ennen, Menoken, and Terry and Esther Grainnes, Stanton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph P. and Magdalena Moch and baby sister, Rosalie.
