Emma Roth

Emma Ude Roth, 86, died December 14, 2005 at the Baptist Home, Bismarck, ND. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Faith Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Wes Aardahl officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 9:00 PM Saturday and 1:00 to 9:00 PM Sunday at Eastgate Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service at the church. Emma was born on May 1, 1919 in rural Zap, ND to Andrew and Elizabeth Miller Ude. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Zap. She grew up on the family farm and went to country school in rural Zap. Emma married Ludwig Roth on March 27, 1938 at Zap. Following their marriage, they farmed north of Golden Valley, ND until moving to Bismarck in 1958. She worked at Bismarck Hospital, now Medcenter One, in the laundry department and the Baptist Home in housekeeping. Emma retired in 1973. She enjoyed quilting and embroidery, most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren and also playing Bingo at the nursing home. Emma is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Arline and Edwin Emineth of Bismarck and Lucille Emineth of Mandan; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Mel and Bea Roth of Hazen, Donald Roth of New Salem and Harold Roth of Pagosa Springs, CO; eight grandchildren, Jean and Fred Richards and their sons Jason and Joshua Richards, Terry and Lisa Emineth and their daughter Kaylee Emineth, Ranee and Duane Gross and their sons Kyle and Bryce Gross all of Bismarck, Carla and Steve Borlaug and their sons Ryan and Jared Borlaug of Hazen, ND, Wanda and Darren Leier and their children Brenden, Brett, and Bethany Leier of Hazen, ND, Darren and Carrie Roth and their children Matthew and Allie Roth of Billings, MT, Wayne and Crystal Emineth of Alpharetta, GA, and Michael and Kris Emineth and their daughter Addison Emineth of Mandan, ND; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Melida and Otto Kuk of Spokane, WA and Lorraine Raszler of Bismarck; two sisters-in-law, Clara Ude of Bismarck and Zona Ude of California; and her very special friend and roommate, Eleanor Paul. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ludwig in 1991; one infant daughter, her son John in 1955; one son-in-law, Leonard Emineth; her granddaughter, Vickie Emineth and one granddaughter-in-law, Tanya Anderson Richards; her parents; two brothers, Sam and Fred Ude; and her sisters, Hilda Schwartz, Edna Ude, Katherine Roth, and Louise Pauley. A special thank you to all the employees at the Baptist Home.
