Juliann Keidel

Juliann Keidel, 71, Mandan, died July 5, 2008, at her home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bismarck with Rev. Walter Schott and Rev. Dan Dornfeld officiating. Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Bismarck. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 – 9:00 PM at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, where a prayer service will be held at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church. Juliann was born December 26, 1936, at Hatton, North Dakota, the daughter of Adolph and Margit Haugland Ostlie. She grew up and attended school in Hatton, ND where she participated as a cheerleader for athletic events. She then attended Valley City State College where she earned a standard teaching degree. She taught in rural Hatton, LaMoure, and Mott. On June 22, 1958, Juliann married Keith Keidel at Goose River Lutheran Church in rural Hatton, ND. Juliann was a charter member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, a member of Homemaker’s Club, and served on the church council at First Lutheran Church in Mandan. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, bowling and in years past serving as a room mother for her children’s school activities. Her most treasured moments were with her grandchildren. She is survived by her loving and attentive husband, Keith of Mandan, ND; her daughters, Kim Randy Schott of Overland Park, KS, and Jodi Keidel of Bismarck, ND; her sons, Craig Lisa Keidel of Mandan, ND, and Paul Kelly Keidel of Bismarck, ND; her grandchildren, Dan Reifenberger and Ryan Schott, both of Minneapolis, MN, Megan and MacKenzie Keidel, Andrew and Amy Lick, all of Bismarck, ND, Stephanie and Chris Schott of Overland Park, KS, and Ashley and Bryan Keidel, both of Mandan, ND; her brothers, John Joan Ostlie of Moorhead, MN, and Andrew Kathy Ostlie of Reno, NV; and her sisters, Doris Jack Babler of Moorhead, MN, and Barb Duffy Heinle of Bismarck, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents. Juliann will be remembered by her family as the most loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. The family prefers memorials be given to American Cancer Society.
