Linda Brusven

Linda Brusven, 56, Bismarck, went peacefully to meet the Lord on July 26, 2007, at SCCI Triumph Hospital, Mandan, after a 2-month illness. Services will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with Rev. Doug Graham officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm Tuesday and from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon Wednesday at Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck. A prayer service will begin at 6:30 pm Tuesday at Parkway Funeral Service. Linda was born at St. Alexius Hospital on March 6, 1951, to Martha and Ken Jacober. She was raised in Bismarck where she graduated from Bismarck High School as an honor student and later attended Bismarck Junior College. Linda met Bernard Brusven at Lake Isabel in the summer of 1971, and they were married November 18, 1972. In the early years of their marriage, Linda worked at various jobs in Bismarck. She then became a full-time homemaker, and together she and Bernard raised three children. Most of her married life was spent in Bismarck. However, they also resided at Glasgow Air Force Base, MT, where they attended Mountain Plains Program. In 1971, Linda asked Jesus to come into her life, accepted Him as her Lord and Savior, and He has been the cornerstone of her life ever since. She attended Agape Fellowship and Evangel Temple in Bismarck. She was a strong prayer warrior, and it was her faith that always sustained her through the hard times in her life. Linda enjoyed spending time with her pet cat and dog. She loved shopping at the Dollar Stores and visiting on the phone with her family and friends. One of the greatest highlights of her life was spending time with her grandchildren. Linda will always be greatly missed by her husband, Bernard; her daughters and son, Sheila Dale Larson, Pittsburg, CA, Lori Doug Miller, Bismarck, and Troy Brusven fiancee Bonnie Murray, Bismarck; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane Frank Paul, Bismarck, Mary Terry Messmer, Bismarck, and Gerri Barry Bolduc, Laconia, NH; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry and Shirley Brusven, Steele, Mary and Mack McAfoos, Springfield, MO, Karen and Orland Amundson, Heartville, MO, Karsten Brusven, Steele, and Donna Brusven of Steele; her grandchildren, Devon Streeper and Emily Miller, Bismarck, and Faith Larson, Pittsburg, CA; her step-grandchildren, Kady and Garret Miller, Bismarck; her step-mother, Delores Jacober, Bismarck; and several nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Martha and Ken Jacober; her grandparents, John and Marie Baumgartner and Sam Jacober and Elsie Jacober Mai; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Olaf and Marion Brusven.
