Lori Ehli

Lori Ehli, 37, Bismarck, died April 22, 2011, surrounded by her family as the angels lifted her up to heaven at St. Alexius Medical Center. Services will be held at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, April 27, at the First Lutheran Church, 800 N. 7th Street, Bismarck, with Rev. Allen Wagner officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck. Lori Lynn Ehli was born on January 7, 1974, in Bismarck to Jacob and Linnea Andahl Ehli. She attended Bismarck Public schools and graduated from Bismarck High School in 1993. Lori became a young mother giving birth to Ashley Rae. Soon after, she started having many health complications which included pancreatitis and kidney problems. In 2003 she needed a kidney transplant and was given the gift of life from her brother, Brett Ehli. In 2005 she gave birth to her little miracle baby, Jordon Ehli-Blocker. She had to sacrifice leaving her family and security to move to Minneapolis to be with him. Jordon was in the Children's Hospital in Minneapolis for two years and there were very few days she was not sitting with him. Lori gave up a lot those years living in the Ronald McDonald House. Jordon got well enough to move back to Bismarck in 2008. It was one of the happiest days to be able to come back home to her family. She went through a lot in her short time with us and never complained about her health and her pain. Above all she was a mother to Ashley and Jordon and her family was very important to her. She lost her Grandma Rosemary the day before she died; we think she wanted to follow her to heaven so she didn't have to go alone. Lori is survived by her children, Ashley Ehli and Jordon Ehli-Blocker; her fiancé, Scott Blocker; her mother, Linnea Ehli; her father, Jacob and Julie Ehli; her sister, Marcy and Michael Running and their son Michael Jr.; her brother, Brett Ehli; her uncles and aunts, Paul and Debra Andahl and their son Ryan, Denise Andahl Rick Haider and her son Jeff Andahl, and Margaret Ann and Jim Ritz Grand Junction CO, Beverly Schonert Doll and Leona Schonert; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Hailey Elizabeth Ehli-Blocker; and her grandparents, Roy and Rosemary Andahl and Jake and Margaret Ehli.
