Martina Tina C Marback

Martina Tina Marback, 90, died September 12, 2014, at St. Gabriel's Community, Bismarck. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon Tuesday, September 16, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Msgr. Gene Lindemann and Deacon Michael Marback officiating. Burial will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Monday, September 15, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E Divide Avenue, where a vigil/rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation with continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Martina Kautzman was born August 16, 1924 in Glen Ullin, the fourth child of Harry and Eva Schafer Kautzman. She was raised and educated in Glen Ullin, and was a graduate of Glen Ullin High School. After graduation, Tina worked various jobs in Bismarck where she met Mike Marback Jr. They were married July, 3, 1944 at the National Cathedral in Baltimore, MD. They made their first home in New York City where Mike was stationed in the Navy. After his discharge in 1946, they returned to Bismarck. Mike and Tina owned and operated Mike's Plumbing and Heating until his death in 1974. Tina loved nothing more than to spend time with her family. She was blessed with four children, eight grandchildren and three great grand children. Tina was an exceptional cook and loved to entertain on holidays and special events. Tina loved to read, solve crossword puzzles and faithfully watched "Polka Party" everyday. Faith was a very important part of her life. Family events were encompassed by her faith, it was part of her daily life and sustained her in difficult times. As Tina's health deteriorated and she became homebound, she would attend mass by watching it on TV. Tina was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Even in her final days, she was more concerned about her family than she was of herself. We love you mom and we miss you. She is survived by her four children, Michael Debby Marback, Bismarck, Patrick Sandra Marback, Bismarck, Gwyn Marback and Randy Jensen, Bismarck, Gail Marback and Steve Laddusaw, Lakeville MN. Eight grandchildren, Tracy Marback, Grand Forks, Tara Daniel Brooke, Bismarck, Brandon Marback, Fargo, Aaron Marback, Redmond, WA, Ashley Marback-Laddusaw, Chicago, Il, Michael and Mary Tschosik, Bismarck and Eric Jensen, Kearny, NE. Three great grand children, Lucy, Eva and Leo Booke, Bismarck. Two sisters, Josephine Oles, Heart, MI, and Elenor Winterroth, Sun City, AZ, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and one brother, Gene Kautzman, and five sisters, Ottilia Weiss, Alvina Steckler, Mary Roth, Clara Senger, and Betty Metzger.
