Mildred Keller

Mildred Faiman Keller, 87, Bismarck, passed away September 2, 2011, at Medcenter One St. Vincent's Care Center, Bismarck. Services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 7, at St. Vincent's Care Center Chapel, with Rev. Paul Becker officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck. Visitation will be held from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm Tuesday, September 6, at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at St. Vincent's Care Center. Mildred Faiman was born May 11, 1924, at South Heart, ND, the daughter of Louis and Minnie Jirges Faiman. She was raised and received her education in Dickinson. She attended Versippi Consolidated School north of Dickinson. She attended Dickinson State College and Bismarck Interstate College. She taught school in Lefor and Dickinson, ND. She worked for Anderson Food Market and the Red Owl Store in Dickinson and Olney's Office Outfitters in Bismarck, ND. She married Alvin Wehri on April 10, 1950. On November 13, 1972, she married Martin Keller of Hazelton, ND. She was a member of Eagles, Amvets, and VFW Auxiliaries. She enjoyed fishing, camping, sewing, traveling, dancing, playing cards and reading. The most important part of Mildred's life was her family and grandchildren. Mildred is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Curt Lynn Wehri, Bismarck; two daughters, Sharon Schmitcke, Bismarck, and Jean Schlickenmayer, Isanti, MN; three brothers, Albert, Salem, OR, and Laudie, Spokane, WA, and Bill, Bismarck, ND; seven grandchildren, Dawn Schmitcke Link, Thornton, CO, Jolene Schmitcke Marsh, Grand Forks, ND, Kelly Chele Schlickenmayer, Isanti, MN, Josh Taryn Schlickenmayer, North Branch, MN, Jennifer Wehri, Colton Wehri, and Shannon Nogowski, all of Bismarck, ND, and ten great grandchildren, Josh, Jourdan and Matthew Link, Austin and Amanda Marsh, Taylore, Bailey and Casey Schlickenmayer, and Britny and Kayla Wehri and one on the way . She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one grandson, Zachary Schlickenmayer; three brother and four sisters. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Alexius Hospice Program.
