Wilma Biegler

Wilma "Ma" Biegler went to her heavenly home early Friday morning, August 19, 2005, with her loving family surrounding her. Services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church, Steele, with the Rev. Jerome Hunckler officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Steele. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Saturday and noon to 5:00 PM Sunday at the Eastgate Steele Memorial Chapel. An evening prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM Sunday evening at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church. Wilma was born on April 3, 1923 at Kintyre, North Dakota, one of 19 children born to Magdelina Feist and Frank Schlosser. She was raised and educated in Kintyre. Wilma married her partner in life, Edward Pius "Eddie" Biegler, on October 14, 1947, at the Church of Transfiguration, in Edgeley, North Dakota. They moved to Driscoll, North Dakota, in 1956 where they raised their 13 children. Wilma "Ma" and Eddie "Pops" raised their 13 children with lots of love, and Humor. Some of the most cherished memories are of the fun family gatherings with softball, water fights, and lots of Ma's home cooking. Ma enjoyed playing pinochle, visiting with her loving family and friends, as well as embroidery, quilting, cooking, and baking to share with family and friends. Ma was famous for her homemade Chicken Noodle Soup which she served every Sunday for her "Kids". Her soup tradition is carried on by Cindy and Sharon at the Pirate's CafÚ in Steele. Wilma and Eddie's house was open to lots of kids, as a countless number called them "Ma and Pops". Pops died on August 16, 1995. Wilma stayed in her home in Driscoll until 1998. She then moved to her apartment in Steele, where she shared special friendships with her "neighbor ladies". Wilma is survived by her thirteen children 5 sons-8 daughters, Eddie Danette, Lawrence Sharon, Steele, Linda Curtiss Mayhew, Minot, Sharon Richard Simpson, Driscoll, Carol Bobby Steichen, Tuttle, Ronnie Biegler Kathy, Sterling, Donnie Jodi, Steele, Wendlin Roxanne Driscoll, Mary Don Christianson, Vernal, Utah, Patti Biegler Wayne, Pine City, Minn, Cindy Darrel Wald, Driscoll, Kathy Robert Oster, Driscoll, and Debbie David Lang, Dawson; twenty-nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; four sisters, Helen Magrum, Nevada, Maggie Wald, Edgeley, Agatha Cochrum, Idaho, and Mary Wald, Bismarck; six brothers, Al Schlosser, Florida, Valentine Schlosser, Oklahoma, Casimer Schlosser, Frank Schlosser, Joe Schlosser, and Baltzer Schlosser, all of Edgeley; and many of Eddie's brothers, sisters, and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eddie; four sisters, Dorothy, Catherine, Caroline, and Rose; and four brothers, Raymond, Peter, Sebastian, and Leo.
