Alice Moser

Alice Moser, 83, Bismarck, died suddenly April 24, 2005, in a Bismarck hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, April 29, at the Bismarck Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Burnett officiating. Burial will be at the McLaughlin, SD cemetery Friday at 2 PM MT. Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 9 PM Thursday at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Alice Moser was born on June 24, 1921 at Turtle Lake, ND to Gottlob and Barbara Mueller Strobel. She was raised in Goodrich and attended school there until 1934 when she moved to McLaughlin, SD with her mother and stepfather. She accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was later baptized in Mobridge, SD. She married Arthur J. Moser at the First Baptist Church in McLaughlin, SD. She was very active in the church where she taught Sunday School and Bible School and served as president of the Women's Missionary Fellowship. She also served as president of the local hospital auxiliary and attended Christian Women's Club. For many years she and Art were janitors of the church and maintained the church cemetery. She will be remembered as the LADY OF HOSPITALITY. Her main hobbies were cooking, baking and entertaining people. She enjoyed Arizona winters and since 1995 resided in Bismarck during the summer months. She was currently a member of Bismarck Baptist Church. Alice is survived by two sons and one daughter, Larry Martha, Bismarck, ND, Dean Elaine, Spokane, WA, and Jaynie Larry Hepper, Battle Ground, WA; six grandchildren, Robin Brent Fischer and Wade Janelle Moser, Sean and Travis Jennifer Moser, and Jared and Candi Hepper; five great grandchildren, Courtney and Brock Fischer, Abby and Logan Moser, and Olivia Moser; brother-in-law, Oscar Moser, Apple Valley, CA; sisters-in-law, Freda Stobel, Rapid City, SD, Lucille Bonnie Strobel, Rapid City, SD, Lydia Schott, Watertown, SD, Alvina Gartner, West Jordan, UT, Ann Crowder, Sacramento, CA and Edna Schmeichel, McLaughlin, SD; and many special nephews and nieces and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; her parents; and four brothers, Walter and Delferd Strobel and Ernest and Herbert Pfaff. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to Crystal Springs Baptist Camp.
