Amy Lynn Senger

Amy L. Senger, 41, Mandan, died March 14, 2015, at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck. Services will be held at 12:00 Noon Friday, March 20, at Church of St. Mary, Bismarck, with Rev. Msgr. Gene Lindeman officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Thursday, March 19, at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm. Amy was born June 10, 1973, in Bismarck, ND, the daughter of Frank and Gloria (Selby) Senger. She attended school in West Fargo and graduated from West Fargo High School. She was in National Honor Society and excelled in basketball and tennis. At ages 10 and 11, Amy was Miss Congeniality in the Miss Teen pageant. As a junior in high school, she went to France with her class and was also able to spend two weeks in England where she met her two twin pen pals. She had been pen pals with them since the 6th grade and had a great time! Amy coached tennis for Shanley High in Fargo and worked various jobs while attending NDSU. She was recognized as a honorary lifetime member in Wellington Who’s Who registry of executives and professionals in 2008. She was also an honorary member of the Amvets and enjoyed coaching girls’ soccer. On June 24, 2003, Greta was born to Amy and DeWayne Pfau. Amy and Greta moved to Bismarck where she worked at the Bismarck Police Department for seven years. Most recently she worked at Captain Jack’s in Bismarck. Amy graduated from Rasmussen College in 2012 with a degree in accounting. Amy was very much a family person and she’d help anyone at any time. Greta said this about her mom, “She was always a busy, busy girl. She knew there was always something that could be done. If ya gave her work, she would always take it.” Amy is survived by her daughter, Greta; her parents, Frank and Gloria Senger; her brother, Lonny Senger and his children, Jade and Chanz Senger; and many family members and friends who loved her very much. She will be truly missed by all. We know God will hold her close as He loves her as we do. Amy was preceded in death by her nephew, Dylan Neuberger. In lieu of flowers, an education fund has been set up through Church of St. Mary to support Amy’s daughter, Greta’s, education.
