Anthony Schneider

Anthony Tony D. Schneider, 47, Bismarck, died suddenly October 3, 2004, in a local hospital. Services will be held at 12:30 PM Thursday at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Bismarck, with Rev. Thomas E. Kramer officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Wednesday at Boelter-Eastgate Funeral Service, 200 West Turnpike, Bismarck, where a vigil rosary will be held at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the funeral service at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit. Anthony was born May 10, 1957 in Bismarck, the son of Thomas Wendelin and Elizabeth Schmidt Schneider. He was raised in Bismarck and attended St. Mary's Grade School and graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1975. He attended Bismarck State College, graduating with an A.A. degree in Automotive Technology. Following college he went to work at the family business, Schneider's Flowerama. He married Gloria Seidel on September 14, 1984 in Bismarck. Anthony was employed by Schumacher Diamond and Sattler Homes. He designed many of the homes in the Southport development. He was presently employed with Mitzel Builders as an architectural draftsman. Anthony was an active outdoorsman and loved spending time on his boat with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed waterfowl hunting with his son and cheering at Century High football games. He loved designing web sites and competitive archery. Anthony was a nationally ranked archer and held the record in North Dakota Freestyle Indoor Archery set in 1986. He was a twenty-year member of Nishu Bowmen Archery Club. He was active in North Dakota Bowhunter Association and Sporting Chance as a volunteer. He was in charge of archery competition during the Prairie Rose State Games since its inception. He was a humble, loving, patient and giving man, whose generosity extended to his family, friends and all who knew him. Anthony is survived by his wife, Gloria, Bismarck; one son, Michael; one daughter, Sarah; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Alex Gross of Bismarck; Josephine and Ray Tokach of Burnsville, MN; Agnes and Bob McIntyre of Bismarck; Veronica and Allen Sauter of Bismarck; Monica and Fred Schubert, Omaha, NE; and Dr. Annette and John Freund, Mahwah, NJ; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerome and Deleila Schneider; Inez Schneider; Leo and Verene Schneider; Andrew and Ingrid Schneider; and Stephen and Beverly Schneider, all of Bismarck; and Joyce Sharer, St. Paul, MN and Susan Schneider, Sartell, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Thomas J. and Dennis Schneider. Memorials are preferred to the family, 1207 N. Mandan Street, Bismarck, ND 58501.
