Carol A. Job

Carol A. Job, 77, Bismarck, passed away Feb. 11, 2012, at MedCenter One, Bismarck, lovingly surrounded by her family. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at McCabe United Methodist Church, Bismarck, with Rev. Ray Baker officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m.Thursday at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, and will continue on Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church. Carol Alvina Dobson was born on December 8, 1934, to George and Florence Benesh Dobson in Bismarck. She was raised and educated in Bismarck and graduated from Bismarck High School in 1953. She married Jim Job on Feb. 25, 1955, in Bismarck. She worked as an abstractor at North Dakota Guarantee and Title Co. for many years. Her other jobs included secretary at MedCenter One and the College of Nursing, and bookkeeper for the family business. They moved to Hettinger in 1969 where they owned Jim's Skelly, and later J & M Service Center. They moved to Mandan in 1981, and returned to Bismarck a few years later. Carol was a very talented, creative and crafty person. She loved to knit, crochet, do needlepoint, sew, do ceramics and paint wood pieces. She handmade beautiful, crocheted blankets and quilts for family members. She was an avid gardener and took great pride in her flower gardens every spring and summer. She loved dogs and always had a furry companion by her side. Grateful to have shared in Carol's life are her husband, James, her daughter, Debbie, Bismarck; her son, Mark, Miles City, Mont.; her grandchildren, John Victoria Job, Mitchell, S.D.; Lisa Job and her fiancé, Raymond Dingman III, Jamestown; her brother, Jerry Sue Dobson, Tucson, Ariz.; her sister, Evelyn Ron Wold, Bismarck; her sisters-in-law, Frieda Willard Keller, Bismarck; Leona McDonald Rusty Keller, Bismarck; several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her very special dog, Buddy. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Richard and David; her brothers-in-law, Dan McDonald and Elmer Job; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
