Darlene Fallgatter

Our Dear Mom, Darlene Fallgatter, left her earthly home to meet her Lord and Savior early Sunday morning, April 29, 2012, with her loving family by her side. Private family services were held. The family invites you to the graveside service at 4:00 pm Thursday, May 3, at the Kintyre City Cemetery, and a celebration of Darlene's life and dinner at the Steele Amvets at 6:00 pm Thursday, May 3. Darlene was born April 8, 1922, the 12th of 13 children of J.E. and Matilda Roisum Johnson, Kintyre, ND. Darlene married Don Fallgatter on June 11, 1942. They had 9 D's, thus, the All "D" Ranch…Donna, Dianne, Dennis, Dottie, Deb, Dean, Danette, Dolly and Dwight! There are many memories of life on the Fallgatter Ranch; lots of laughter, love and shenanigans. Mom was more than a mother, grandmother and great grandmother, or "G.G.", as she was so fondly called. She was also an accomplished seamstress, teacher, mentor, cook, flower gardener, bird lover, minister of faith, and pianist, self taught, playing by ear. She played for the Women's Aglow, Christian Businessmen along with many other events. She was also active in Women's Temperance Union, Steer Incorporated, Circle C Ranch, and other ministries. Mom's final wishes were to be buried in a pine box, which was lovingly made by her grandsons, Shawn and Shane Kuhn. Surviving Darlene is six daughters, Donna Bruce Darsey, Florida, Dianne Sonny Moch, Deb Jerry Lippert, Dolly Kuhn, all of Lincoln, Dottie Jim Erwin and Danette Eddie Biegler, Steele; three sons, Dennis Eileen, Dwight Robin, Bismarck and Dean Kathy Steele; 24 grandchildren, Steven and Rebecca, Tatia, Tracy, Trevor and Tory, Heather, Nikki and Darren, Michelle and Eddie, Kristi, Kari and DJ, Clint and Kara, Kim and Evan, Shawn and Shane, Donny, Mitch, Jeff and Lainey; 35 great-grand children, Elana, Davin, Bryce, Tianne, Madison, Alex, Sterling, Gabe, Johanna, Tracy Jo, Cambree, Jordan, KennaDee, Sierra, Rio, Drue, BJ, Brayden, Kaylee, Colin, Ava, Avery, Victoria, Isaiah, Mya, Mason, Bryleigh, Evelyn, Amara, Eli, Kadence, Riley, Wyatt, Leo & Mila. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Those preceding Darlene in death, husband Donald; her parents; sisters Virginia Strom, Lilly Routio, Nellie West, Rhoda Berreth, and Alice Larson; brothers Ervin, Edwin, Charles, Melvin, Arnold, Verner and Myron; and son-in-law Pius Kuhn.
