Donnella Maixner

Donnella "Doni" Maixner, 53, Bismarck, died August 14, 2003 at her home. Services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday at Church of St. Mary, Bismarck, with the Rev. Bruce Krebs officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery, Bismarck. Visitation will be 2-9 PM Sunday at Eastgate Funeral Service, where a vigil will be held at 7 PM. Visitation will continue from 9:30-10:30 AM at the church on Monday. Doni was born August 27, 1949 in Beach, ND, the daughter of CT ?Buster? and Florence Begger Finneman. She was raised in Golva, ND and graduated from St. Mary?s in New England in 1967. Doni married Joel A. Maixner in Golva, ND on February 10, 1973. She was a devoted mother who raised five children while working as a beautician. She later returned to school and ultimately received her bachelor degree from UND in 1992. Doni was a member of the North Dakota Occupational Therapy Association NDOTA. Most recently Doni has been employed by the Bismarck School System as an occupational therapist. She enjoyed working with her students, gardening, exercising and gathering collectibles. Her favorite pastime was spoiling her six grandchildren. Doni is survived by her husband, Joel, Bismarck; her mother, Florence Finneman, Beach, ND; her children, Chantel Darin Hartl, Bismarck, Joelean Channon Lowman, Mandan, ND, Kelly Maixner, Fort Lauderdale, FL, Shane Maixner, Missoula, MT, and Becca Maixner, Sandpoint, ID; her grandchildren, Alexandra, Anna, Ty, Miranda, Lathan, and Jayce; her brothers and sisters, Katie Zinzli, Dickinson, ND, Ruth Chris Schmidt, Bad Axe, MI, Alicia Leon Heick, Bismarck, David Connie Finneman, Rapid City, SD, Marie Steve Kremers, Golva, ND, and Steve Kathy Finneman, Missoula, MT; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill Judy Maixner, Phoenix, AZ, Rick Wanda Maixner, Bismarck, Ed Betsy Maixner, Arlington, VA, Frank Louise Maixner, St. Paul, MN, Fran Maixner, Phoenix, AZ, Laura Colberg, Bismarck, Darcy Swede Ostrom, Cummings, GA, Leon Betty Wandler, Gillette, WY, several cousins, nieces, nephews, and good friends.
