Francis Crosgrove

Francis Crosgrove, 70, Minnesota, died July 25, 2007. Services will be held at the Lind Family Funeral Home in Miltona, Minnesota, on Thursday, August 2, 2007, at 2:00 PM. Sympathies can be sent to PO Box 3, Carlos MN, 56319. Francis Charles Crosgrove was born on February 9, 1937, in Wrightestown, Minnesota, the son of Leonard and Audrey Coleburn Crosgrove. He was raised and educated in Deer Creek, Minnesota, graduating from Deer Creek High School in 1955. After graduation, Fran moved to several different towns throughout central and southern Minnesota. Fran was married to Beverly Nelson for 18 years and they had 5 children together. They lived in Minnesota where Fran started and developed a sanitation business which he later sold. In 1980, Fran moved to Zap to be closer to his children and became the city maintenance man. While living in Zap, he found his sweetheart, Lindalee Boehler, who he called "My Linda"! They settled in Carlos, Minnesota, where he enjoyed family, friends, and the companionship of his Linda for which he called the best years of his life. Fran loved his Linda, his family, friends, socializing, and lived life to the fullest. One of his passions was helping people in whatever way he could, whether it would be finding things in need or giving whatever he could. Fran would spend hours going through want ads with his trusty highlighter and cell phone at his side in any paper he could find looking for the best bargain. He enjoyed talking on the phone to anyone from telemarketers or a wrong number. He liked watching the Vikings play and loved having company. Fran loved an adventure and was never afraid to dive right in with both feet. He liked having many irons in the fire and keeping busy. Fran had a big heart and his greatest love was for his family. Fran is survived by his sweetheart, Lindalee Boehler of Carlos, Minnesota; his children, Terry Tammy Crosgrove of Carlos, Minnesota, and their children, Alicia, Stephanie, Sara, Josh, and Jenny; Tamera James Frank of Shields, North Dakota, and their children, Tara and her son Jamison, Levi, and Matthew; Todd Donna of Carlos, Minnesota, and their children, Heather, Kayla, and Jenna; Toinette Greg Banks of Pasco, Washington, and their children, Kaylin and Kelsi; Timothy "Tiger" Francis Crosgrove of Council Bluff, Iowa, and his son, Conner "little buddy"; Charmaine Boehler of Bismarck, North Dakota; Joyce Boehler of Beulah, North Dakota, and her children Justin and Cierra; Steven Boehler of Shoshoni, Wyoming; and Katrina Bounting of Zap, North Dakota, and her children, Kendra, Brianna, Jeremiah, Eric, and Richelle; and his brother, Terry Crosgrove of Minnesota. Francis was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Alice; his brothers, David "Shorty" and Roger Crosgrove; and his granddaughter, Alyssa Frank.
