Fred Frohlich

Fred J. Frohlich, 68, Pick City, formerly of Bismarck, ND, went to be with his precious Lord our Savior on August 14, 2008, which he called his Glory Land. Services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 PM CST at Word of Faith Church, 15th Street and Divide Avenue, Bismarck, with Pastor Dom Vetter officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 PM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery with military honors provided by VFW Post #1326. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00 – 9:00 PM at Eastgate Funeral Service and will continue Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church. Fred was born on June 20, 1940, to Jacob and Mary Leingang Frohlich on a Flasher farmstead, where he grew up and received his education. He went on to the US Army for three years, joined the Dickinson Police Department for seven years, Bismarck Police Department for nine years as a detective sergeant, and finally American Family Insurance for nineteen years where he retired early due to health issues. Fred was a man of great adventure. He had a love of the outdoors and a passion for fishing and hunting. Fred was very gifted in arts, crafts, and woodwork; he made beautiful clocks for his family. He loved his winter home in Arizona and his cabin at Lake Sakakawea, where he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. After retirement, he developed a passion for reading. Fred married Donna M. Fisher on November 7, 1964. They have three daughters and one son, Angela and Mark Haider of Bismarck, Darcy and Todd Rueb of Beulah, Lynell and Russell Wolf of Bismarck, and Aaron and Jill Neva Frohlich of Bismarck; six grandchildren, Dustin Reub, Mariah, Joshua, and Destiny Haider, and Matthew and Malia Wolf; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Leona of Bismarck, Jack and Alvina of Bismarck, David and Carole of New Hampshire, and Richard and Tess of Bismarck; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Marlene and Don Lervik of Lincoln, ND, and Gloria of Washington. He has many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. He will be very deeply missed by many, we love you DAD!
