Gladys Ohlhauser

Gladys J. Ohlhauser, 70, Linton, died December 1, 2005 at a Bismarck hospital. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at the United Methodist Church, Linton, with the Rev. Rick Craig officiating. At her request her body has been cremated, burial will be in the Baptist Cemetery west of Linton at a later date. A memorial prayer service will be held at 7:30 PM Friday at the United Methodist Church, Linton. Gladys J. Weber was born August 13, 1935 on a farm near Temvik, ND, the daughter of Ludwig "Louie" and Rosalia Wagner Weber. She attended Sand Creek rural school and graduated from Linton High School in 1952. On February 27, 1954, she married Fred Ohlhauser in Bismarck. After their marriage they lived in Bismarck and in 1960, they moved to Linton where they purchased and ran a business for 8 years and then purchased a farm 9 miles west of Linton. After moving to the farm Gladys also drove school bus. In 1980, Gladys and Fred retired and would spend winters in Arizona. Fred passed away on December 19, 1988. Gladys continued to winter in Arizona where she met a special friend, Miles Slocum in 1994. Gladys and Miles resided in Linton and Arizona. Gladys was a member of the Linton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping, fishing and family gatherings. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with and watching her grandchildren grow. Gladys's house was always open to everyone. Gladys is survived by her daughter, Candace Bauer of Hazen, ND; her two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Mary Ohlhauser of Bismarck and Lenny and Mary Sue Ohlhauser of Fargo; ten grandchildren, Amanda and Josh Ridl, Matthew, Melissa, Maria and Mitchell Ohlhauser, T.J. and Samantha Bauer, and Devin, Ariel, and Kennedy Jo Ohlhauser; two sisters, Hilda Klein of Bismarck and Alvina Zoller of Linton; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Herbert Weber of Bismarck, Leo and Donna Weber of Medford, OR, Albert Weber of Linton, and Mary Ellen Weber of Linton; her very special friend, Miles Slocum; and numerous nieces nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three sisters; and one brother.
