Harold Renner

Harold "Harry" Renner, 71, Bismarck, died April 9, 2014, surrounded by his family at St. Alexius Hospital, Bismarck. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 14, at Faith Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with Rev. Wes Aardahl officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck. Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm Sunday, April 13, at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Harry was born December 31, 1942, in Beulah, the son of Henry Jr. and Louisa Schlender Renner. He graduated from Beulah High School in 1961. He married Pearl Weiss June 28, 1963. They had two children, Kimberly and Kevin. He married Karen Binder February 28, 1983. Harry worked with and sold heavy construction machinery for John Deere - Midwest Industrial of Bismarck and General Equipment of Fargo. He worked on road construction crews with Harris Construction, Brown Construction, Oster Construction and Ritter Construction. He also worked for the city of Jamestown until 2002, when poor health forced him to retire. His hobbies and interests were collecting belt buckles, toy farm machinery and toy vintage cars. He enjoyed working with wood, making crafts and traveling to shows with Karen. Harry is survived by his loving wife Karen; his beloved children, Kimberly Clyde Schaner, Kevin Tina Renner, Deb Joe Marturano, Gaye Robert Nakaji, Gail Sampson, Princess John Fredrickson, Lona Rob Hermanson; his brother, Ivan Corinne Renner of Bismarck; his sister-in-law, Delma Renner of Zap; grandchildren, Autumn Gunter, Megan Matt Zlocki, Trevor Natalia Thompson, Katie Korey Waggoner, Kyle Nicole Bichler, Kayla Hermanson, Trent Thompson, Joseph Fredrickson, Nathan Hermanson, Micah Thompson, Joelle Marturano, Morgan Marturano, Rebecca Marturano, Brandon Schaner and five great-grandchildren, Sadie, Sylvia, and Sailor Lipp, Oliver Zlocki and Kalvin Zionowski; special nieces and nephews; and his special family pet, Rowdie the cat. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Otto and infant brother Roy, and an infant sister, Pauline.
