Jaden Michael Jahner

Jaden Michael Jahner 33, Mandan, died August 21, 2014, of heart failure while out enjoying an evening run. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 Noon at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Bismarck with Rev. Msgr. Thomas Richter officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, where a rosary/vigil service will begin at 7:00 PM. Jaden was born on December 31, 1980, in Bismarck, ND, the son of Douglas and Elizabeth Jangula Jahner. He grew up in Bismarck and attended Roosevelt and Miller Elementary Schools, Simle Middle School, and graduated from Century High School in 1999. Jaden participated in track and soccer, and was a Boy Scout. Jaden enrolled in the BSC computer science program. Jaden's interest in computer technology eventually became his career. He worked for Internet Design and Consulting, Applied Engineering, and most recently Armor Interactive. Jaden enjoyed many outdoor activities such as running, bicycling, jet skiing, snow-skiing, and snowboarding. When on the ski slopes, he spent many hours patiently teaching others how to snowboard. Most recently, he took up kayaking at Harmon Lake which also was his favorite biking trail. Earlier this year, Jaden bought an RV and enjoyed several camping excursions with friends and family. Jaden was very kind and generous person with a wonderful sense of humor. He had many special friends, and was known as Tahjah, to some. His best buds were his brothers, Chris, Cody, and Jesse, with whom he always had a very special and close relationship. Jaden loved getting together with his brothers and Mom and Dad for Sunday evening dinners, and was known for his hearty appetite. Jaden was a most beloved son to his parents and will be deeply missed, remembering how much love and joy he brought us. Jaden is survived by his parents, Douglas and Elizabeth Jahner of Mandan; three brothers, Chris of Jamestown, Cody and Jesse, both of Bismarck; his grandparents, Veronica Jahner of Bismarck, and Edwin and Dalphina Jangula Mittelsteadt of Bismarck; his aunts and uncles, Joni and Skip Duemeland of Mandan, Sharon and Preston Leingang of San Antonio, TX, Rita and Rick Ciavarella, Frank and LaVonne Jangula, Sally and Gary Finck, Tony and LeeAnn Jangula, Ken and Charlen Jangula, Lucy and Dwight Driscoll, Joe and Marie Jangula, all of Bismarck, Gerald and Paulette Jangula of Rapid City, SD, and Mary and Dwight Schlepp of Ashley, ND; and many cousins and friends. Preceding Jaden in death were his grandfathers, Christian F. Jahner and Joseph Michael Jangula, Sr.
