Katherina "Katie" Doll, 86, Bismarck, died May 6, 2010, at the Baptist Home, Bismarck. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm Monday at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Bismarck, with Rev. John Guthrie officiating. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm Sunday at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, where a rosary will be held at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday one hour prior to the service at the church.Katie was born on August 4, 1923, in Burnstad, ND, the daughter of Andrew and Rosina Hildebrand Weixel. She was raised and educated in Bismarck. Katie married Anton “Tony” Doll on January 5, 1942, and they enjoyed over 67 years of marriage. They lived in Bismarck where Katie and Tony made a home for their family. She tended to her garden and enjoyed the beauty of her flowers and being outside in God’s creation.Katie and Tony enjoyed camping, cooking, and being together with family for picnics and holidays. She and Tony loved to dance and were familiar faces at the dance clubs in the area, and traveling to polka fests. Katie enjoyed bingo and continued to play at the Baptist Home. The last few months of her life were treasured by sharing a room with her sister, Annie, at the Baptist Home. Katie will be deeply missed by her family.Katie is survived by her sons, James Doll and Daniel Doll, both of Bismarck; her daughters, Patricia Emineth and Mary Tony Danzl, both of Bismarck; her grandchildren, Michelle Doll, Andrew Doll, Bill Marsha Hayek and Bernie Hayek, Missy Doll Terry, Tim Doll, Tammy Corey Bradford, Shelley Herzing, Kelly Herzing, Richard Kari Emineth, Daryl Missy Emineth, Rita Doll, and Christopher, Andrew, and Joshua Danzl; numerous great-grandchildren; and her daughters-in-law, Jeanette Doll and Nancy Doll.She was preceded in death by her husband, Anton “Tony” Doll on December 25, 2009; her sons, Thomas, Raymond, and an infant son, Anton Jr.; her granddaughters, Deanna Doll, Telisa Doll, and Sheila Jo Emineth; her parents; her brothers, John, Charlie, Leo, Arthur, and Walter; and her infant siblings, Edwin, Andrew, Emma, and Ida.
