Keith Morris

Keith Raymond Morris, 57, Wing, died May 6, 2004 at his home. Services will be held at 1 PM Monday, May 10, 2004, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Wilton, with the Rev. George Dukart officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Driscoll, ND. Visitation will be from 4-9 PM Sunday at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, where a Parish Vigil and Rosary will be held at 7 PM. Visitation will continue from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM Monday at the church. Keith was born August 25, 1946 in Bismarck to the parents of Raymond and Clara Rise Morris. He was raised on a farm near Regan, ND and attended rural and Regan Public School. He enlisted in the Army and served with the 25th infantry for two tours in Viet Nam. While serving in the military he received many medals, which include two Purple Hearts and one Silver Star. He received his honorable discharge in 1967. On April 15th, 1968 he married Peggy Trusty in Wilton, ND. They moved to Minnesota and lived in various places, started a family, and finally settled on a farmstead in northern Minnesota for the site of their dairy operation. In 1980, the family returned to North Dakota and moved into Wing, where Keith once again farmed and also held various jobs, which included being a school bus driver and manager at the local elevator. Then in 1992, Keith and Peggy purchased the Rise family farm, where they currently reside. Keith loved family, friends, farm life, his country, and the everyday simple pleasures of life. He will be remembered for his honesty, loyalty, hard work, and integrity. Keith enjoyed visiting with family and friends, reading, watching the news, and working with his horses. Keith was truly an exceptional human being and will be deeply missed by all. Keith is survived by his wife, Peggy, Wing, ND; one daughter and son-in-law, Darin and Ilene Krein, Bismarck, ND; two sons, Shawn Morris, Wing, ND and Mike Morris, and fiancÚ, Deva Beiers, Lincoln, ND; two grandchildren, Garret and Alison Krein, Bismarck, ND; one brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Cheryl Morris, Lindale, TX; two sisters and one brother-in-law, DiAnn Morris and Elizabeth and Merton Hanson, all of Wilton, ND; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Clara; and two brothers, Lennie and Lonnie.
