LuElla Finck

LuElla R. Finck, 85, Bismarck, died March 26, 2004, at St. Vincent's Care Center. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church in Bismarck with the Rev. Kermit Culver officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Eastgate Funeral Service. LuElla R. Baltzer was born on November 12, 1918, in Logan County, North Dakota, the daughter of John J. and Regina Scherbenske Baltzer. She was raised and attended schools in the Logan County area. LuElla married Lawrence Finck on March 12, 1937, in Napoleon, North Dakota. Following their marriage, they lived in Napoleon until 1942 when they moved to the family farm. In 1952, they moved to Bismarck where LuElla worked part-time as a nurse's aid at the Bismarck Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, ceramics, embroidery, and quilting, and was also an excellent cook. LuElla was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bismarck. LuElla R. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Lawrence of Bismarck; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Marilynn Finck of Michigan; a daughter and son-in-law, LaVon and Bill Dineen of Massachusetts; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Celestina Finck of Bismarck; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Alice Ackerman of Bend, Oregon; Eileen Goebel of Jamestown, Lenora and Ardy Liebelt of Lodi, California, and Goldie Angele of Lodi, California; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Glenard and Clair Baltzer and Lorraine Baltzer all of Lodi, California; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Brian; four brothers, Eugene, William, Leo, and Walter; and three sisters, Helen, Violet, and Ada.
