Mary Beth Ziegler

Mary Beth Borr Ziegler, 64, Mandan, with her family by her side, went to the arms of her loved ones in Heaven on June 16, 2013, at the Mandan Care Center off Collins. Services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, June 20, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with Rev. Walter Schott officiating. Burial will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Wednesday, June 19, at Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck, where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm. Mary Beth was born on June 11, 1949, at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, ND, the daughter of Ernie and Kathryn Schafer Borr of Strasburg, ND. She grew up and attended St. Benedict's Grade School and graduated from Emmons Central High School in 1967. In the fall of 1967, she attended Jack's Hairstyling College of Bismarck and graduated the following year, 1968. Mary Beth's career was long and successful, working for Hair Inc. in Mandan, and then Hair Hospital, Bismarck, as a stylist/owner. Shortly after high school, she married her high school sweetheart, Paul Senger, in June of 1969, in Strasburg, ND. Together they raised four boys, Paul, Dion, Dan, and Jon. Twenty-six years ago, she met Burton Ziegler of Mandan, and together they embarked upon the greatest journey ever. On July 1, 2005, they were married in their backyard of the home they built together. Mary Beth was a take charge individual in her profession and at home with her family. She was always so proud of her boys and Mary Beth treasured her grandchildren. She was committed to her friendships and very inspirational in others' lives. Her passions were decorating, yard and garden work, style, fashion, and her occupation. Mary Beth is survived by her four sons, Paul Dawn Senger, Bismarck, Dion Candy Senger, Maple Valley, WA, Dan Senger Nikki Berger, Covington, WA, and Jon Senger, Mandan; special son, Tyler Lisa Slemp, Arlington, TX; brother, Ernie Donna Borr, Bismarck; sister, Gracia Bob Becker, Omaha, NE; sister, Donna Rae Pete Fleck, Mandan; brother-in-law, Florian Bauman; sister-in-law, Jane Borr; grandchildren, Kala Beth Senger, Sheldon Paul Senger, Rylie Dayne Senger, Delaney Taylor Senger, and Jessica, Bailey, and Amanda Slemp. She was preceded in death by husband, Burton James Ziegler; her parents, Ernie and Kathryn Borr; brother, Walter Borr, and Sister, Kathy Borr Bauman.
