Maynard Weisenberger

Maynard Weisenberger, 76, Tuttle, North Dakota, died October 30, 2004, at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 3, 2004, at 2:00 PM at English Lutheran Church in Tuttle with the Rev. Valerie Kinlan officiating. Burial will be at Tuttle Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00 - 9:00 PM at Eastgate Funeral Service in Bismarck and Tuesday from 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM at Eastgate Steele Chapel where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church. Maynard was born on September 28, 1928, in Bismarck, North Dakota, the son of John and Lydia Ochsner Weisenberger. He was raised and graduated from high school in Tuttle. Maynard married Maxine Skogen on December 12, 1947, in Tuttle where they farmed. After Maynard discontinued farming, he worked at ICI, an industrial insulation company at the power plants. He also drove school bus for 33 1/2 years and was the Township Assessor for 35 years. Maynard sang in the church choir and also with his brother, Wilbert, in the Prairie Road Band. Maynard enjoyed gardening, hunting and trapping, playing pinochle and arena rummy, playing bingo, and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed coaching baseball and started a legion baseball program in Tuttle in 1964. He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Maxine of Tuttle; his daughters, Carla Voigt of Sherwood, Oregon, and Shelly Rosenau of Hazen, North Dakota; his sons, Johnny Marci of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, Ronald "Scotty" Linda of Underwood, North Dakota, and Hugh of Fargo, North Dakota; his grandsons, Jody Voigt, T.J. Voigt, Chad Heather Weisenberger, Brent Jordan Weisenberger, Jamie Weisenberger, Troy Kim Weisenberger, T.J. Weisenberger, Kyle Rosenau, and Jace King; his granddaughter, Lea Weisenberger; his four great-grandchildren; his brothers and sisters, Rachel Wolff, Wilbert Debbie, Donald Eunice, all of Tuttle, North Dakota, Leon Bobbie Jo, Garold, and Gary, all of Underwood, North Dakota, Arley Sylvia, Glendell Betty, Gladys Clapham, all of Missoula, Montana, Janice Andy Anderson of Bismarck, North Dakota, and Mildred Vern Rask of Randle, Washington; his sisters-in-law, Ruby Skogen of Casper, Wyoming, and Julie Weisenberger of Bismarck; and his brother-in-law, Alvin Gruebele of Missoula, Montana. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lydia Weisenberger; his brother, Stanley Weisenberger; and his sister, Shirley Gruebele.
