Natalie Jean Henke

Natalie Jean Henke, Bismarck, ND, went home to be with her Creator in heaven on October 2, 2014. Services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, October 9, 2014, at Century Baptist Church, 205 Colt Ave, Bismarck, with Rev. Gordon Stork officiating. Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Wednesday, October 8, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Natalie was born to Brad and Heidi Henke on June 7, 2012. She was a beautiful child of God who showed her courage and strength each day. Natalie was born with a heart defect, and endured three open-heart surgeries, and many hospital stays. This difficult condition didn't stop her from being a happy, loving, and energetic child. She captured the hearts of many with her beautiful smile, and feisty personality. There were many of the medical providers who see thousands of children each year, but still remember Natalie and have a special place in their heart for her. Natalie enjoyed playing on her iPad, surfing YouTube for Veggie Tales, singing Itsy Bitsy Spider, and feeding the dog from her high chair. She got great enjoyment from reading books, especially "Good Night Gorilla" and "Where's Spot?", and she loved blowing bubbles and popping them on her nose. Her parents spent endless hours pulling her around in her wagon and taking her for walks. She loved going down the slide and swinging on the swing with mom or dad. She enjoyed her cat and her dog, and loved to chase them around. Natalie will be missed immensely; she touched everyone who knew her in a deep and special way. God's love radiated through her, and her light shone bright in her short time with us on earth. Natalie is survived by her parents, Brad and Heidi Henke; a yet-to-be-born brother or sister; grandparents, Paul and Barb Sunderland of Billings MT; great-grandparents, Thelmar and Peggy Thorson of Billings MT; her dog, Pharaoh; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles, all who love her dearly. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Henry Henke, and grandmother, Jeanne Henke; both of New Salem ND; and her cat, Ranger.
