Patrick Silvernagel

Patrick J. Silvernagel, 57, Hazelton, died November 9, 2005 in a Bismarck hospital. Funeral mass will be held at 12:00 noon Monday at the Church of St. Mary, Bismarck, with the Rev. Bruce Krebs, celebrant and Rev. David Richter as the homilist. Graveside services for both Patrick and Madonna will be held at 4:30 PM Monday at St. Katherine's Catholic Cemetery, Braddock. Visitation will be from 9:00 Am to 9:00 Pm Saturday at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, and from 2:00 to 9:00 PM Sunday at St. Katherine's Catholic Church, Braddock, where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church. Patrick was born on March 8, 1948 in Bismarck, ND, the son of Anthony and Philippine Unser Silvernagel. He was raised in Braddock where he graduated from high school in 1966 and then attended B.J.C. He married Madonna Richter on June 26, 1971 at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Bismarck. They lived and farmed west of Braddock. Pat, along with Donna, was very active in their church and was a member of St. Katherine's Catholic Church in Braddock. He was a member of the Linton Knights of Columbus. Pat was on the South Central Grain Board, the ASCS Board and was a member of the Braddock Lions Club. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed all sports and being in the outdoors. Pat was a strong man, physically and spiritually. He enjoyed visiting and spending time with his family and friends. Pat was an example of a true gentleman and what it meant to be a man. He shared his knowledge willingly and often without knowing its influence on those around him. He will always be remembered for his faith, generosity and his love of family and friends. Pat and Donna were always best friends and inseparable. Their love for one another will always be inspirational for family and friends. Grateful to have shared his life are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Corey Silvernagel of Horace, ND and James and Janel Silvernagel of Bismarck, ND; two daughters and one son-in-law, Cindy Silvernagel and Susan and Paul Keeney all of Bismarck, ND; his granddaughter, Grace Theresa Keeney; his five sisters, Hildegarde Mock of Braddock, ND, Phyllis Albert Dallman of Anchorage, AK, Isabella Johnson and her fiancÚ, Larry Johns of Kokomo, IN, Gladys Gino Dentice of Hartford, WI and Mary Ellen Soggie of Bismarck, ND; and his four brothers, Anthony Donna Silvernagel of Bismarck, ND, Leonard Kitty Silvernagel of Preston, ID, Richard Silvernagel of Bismarck and Myron Ileen Silvernagel of Bismarck. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; two infant daughters, Theresa and Sarah; his parents; and a brother, Charles. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Silvernagel fund at the Bank of Hazelton, 363 Main Street, Hazelton, ND 58544.
