Rachel Wolff

Rachel Wolff, 86, Tuttle, ND, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, December 16, 2011, at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, Bismarck, ND. Services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 20, at the Tuttle United Methodist Church, with Rev. Thomas Bowsher officiating. Burial will be in Tuttle Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday, December 19, at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck. Rachel was born on June 6, 1925, in Bismarck, the daughter of John and Lydia Ochsner Weisenburger. Rachel was raised and educated in the Tuttle area. She was very instrumental in helping her parents on the family farm with her 13 siblings. On October 28, 1945, she married Julius Wolff at the Nazarene Church in Tuttle, and they moved to his family farm. Julius entered the service in 1946 and they moved to Norfolk, VA. After Julius's discharge in 1948, they returned to the farm. Julius passed away in May 1991. Rachel continued to live on the farm until 2003, when she moved to Tuttle, where she lived up until last fall when she entered the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center. Rachel was a lifelong member of the Tuttle United Methodist Church. She was a very active member in the church women's group, holding various positions, a member of the Tuttle Senior Center and the last few years, the Nazarene Church also became her family. Rachel is survived by her children, one daughter, Pearl Gene Hall, Rock Springs, WY, and one son, Randall Pam Wolff, Wing, ND; six grandchildren, Wayne Rachel Monk, Terry Shana Haugstad, Michael Kari, Scott Rachel, Tanner Whitney and Holly Chris Wolff; seven great-grandchildren, Kynlee, Hunter, and Hudson Wolff, Layken Wolff, Addelyn Wolff, Jaxon and Kaden Haugstad; her siblings, Gary and Garold Weisenburger, Underwood, ND, Janice and Allen Anderson, Bismarck, Arly and Sylvia Weisenburger, Lake Sealy, MT, Glendell and Betty Weisenburger, Lake Sealy, MT, Gladys Clapham, Missoula, MT, Donnie and Eunice Weisenburger, Tuttle, Wilbert and Debby Weisenburger, Fessenden, ND, Mildred and Vernon Rask, Randle, WA; brother-in-law, Alvin Gruebele, Jamestown; sister-in-law, Julie Weisenburger, Bismarck, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius; her son, Doran; brothers, Stanley, Maynard and Leon, and sister, Shirley Gruebele; sisters-in-law, Maxine Weisenburger and Vivian Weisenburger; and brother-in-law, Jim Clapham. The family wishes to say an extra thank-you to the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center for their gentle care to Rachel and for the many prayers said throughout her time at the care center.
