Regina Reuer

Regina Reuer, 69, Bismarck, died January 19, 2015, at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Church of St. Mary, Bismarck, with Rev. Msgr. Gene Lindemann officiating. Burial will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm Friday, January 23, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, where a vigil/rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Regina was born February 10, 1945, at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, the youngest child of 12 children born to Adam and Philipina Feist Masseth. She grew up and attended school in Logan County, ND. Regina married Marvin "Jim" Reuer on September 3, 1966. The couple had three children, Frances, Debra, and James. Regina worked for the State of North Dakota for 34 years and retired in February 2007. Regina was a warm and caring lady. She cared for her family more than anything else. She always had a warm smile and open arms for everyone. Regina will be remembered for her loving personality and almost famous cooking. She had many hobbies including embroidery, crossword puzzles, and bingo. She will be missed more than she will ever know. Regina is survived by her children, Frances Calvin Magstadt and Debra Stanley Thompson; her son, James Michele Reuer; six grandchildren, Matthew Thompson, Alexander Thompson, Benjamin Magstadt, Nicholas Magstadt, Madison Reuer and Wyatt Reuer; her sisters, Gean Val Gross, and Rosina Vetter; her brother, Sebastian Maggie Masseth; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Masseth, Mary Masseth, Mary Masseth, Chris Masseth, Jennie Masseth, and Doris Schwenk. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin "Jim" Reuer; her parents; her sisters, Julie Chmielewski, Mary Kraft, and Elizabeth Masseth; her brothers, George, Adam, James, Peter, and Joseph Masseth; and her brothers-in-law, John Kraft and William Vetter. The family wishes to thank CHI St. Alexius Health for the excellent care during their mom's final days.
