Delores Krause

Delores Krause quietly met the Lord on February 6, 2006. Services will be held Friday, February 10, 2006 at 11:30 AM at Church of St. Anne, Bismarck with the Rev. Ed Wehner officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 PM Wednesday, February 8, 2006 and 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Thursday, February 9, 2006 at Eastgate Funeral Service where a Catholic Daughters Rosary will be held at 6:30 PM Thursday evening followed by a vigil at 7:00 PM. Delores Steiner Krause was born September 13, 1930 in Mott, ND. She was the oldest child of Max and Elizabeth Schmitt Steiner. She was raised and educated in Mott and graduated from Mott Lincoln High School. She was employed by Northwestern Bell and retired from there in 1973. On October 2, 1950 she married Harold Krause. They lived in Mott and moved to Bismarck. She was an active member of St. Anne's Church where she was officer of Circle and Parish Guild, a charter member and officer of St. Vincent's Care Center Auxiliary, member and past officer of CDA of Bismarck. She was an active member of the VFW Auxiliary and St. Alexius Medical Center Volunteers and Auxiliary. In Arizona where she spent many winters, she was active in card, dance and volunteer groups. Delores enjoyed socializing with family and friends, traveling, walking, playing cards and reading. Delores is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Keary Mark and Teresea Krause of Bryceville, FL, and Wayne and Toni Krause of Sioux City, NE; one daughter and son-in-law, Gayl and Douglas Weisz of Sugarland, TX; two grandsons, Chad Weisz and Zachary Krause; her beloved friend, Dr. Russell Chapman; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Jan Steiner of Prior Lake, MN, Howard and Alice Steiner, Eugene and Annette Steiner, and Roy Steiner all of Mott, ND; nine sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances and Norbert Fries, Lora and Robert Herning, all of Mott, ND, Florence and Harvey Unruh of Bellingham, WA, Shirley and Al Cole of Eugene, OR, Delilah and Fred Meier of Prior Lake, MN, Josephine and Ray Betancourt of Bronx, NY, Regina and Jim Marthaller, Mary and Larry Mosbrucker all of Mandan, and Rose Ward of Waukon, IA; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister, and a brother. The family prefers memorials to the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers or gifts.
