Joshua A Morrissette

Josh Morrissette, 17, Bismarck, died Saturday December 3, 2011. The funeral service will be held Friday, December 9, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at First Evangelical Free Church. Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm Thursday, December 8, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday, December 8, at Charity Lutheran Church, Bismarck. Josh was born August 15, 1994, in Bismarck, ND, the son of Joseph and Kristen Morrissette. He grew up in Bismarck and was currently a junior at Century High School. Josh died surrounded by his three brothers, his father, his grandfather, and his close friend. Josh's tragic death occurred as a result of a hunting accident. Although his life was short by most measures, Josh enjoyed every minute of the 17 years God gave him in this life. He brought joy and happiness to everyone around him. He had an exceptional sense of humor and brought laughter to all who knew him. He had the rare gift of joy and was never seen without a smile on his face. He was always happy and enjoyed life to its fullest. Josh's favorite activities were hunting and fishing and during his 17 years he spent more time doing those things than many do over a long life. He loved being around people, loved his family and friends. He loved parties and brought life to many gatherings. He loved food and cherished home-cooked meals, café food, and expensive dinners. He had a special gift with young children who enjoyed his humor and his playfulness. He worked in the After-School Program at Martin Luther School and entertained many children each week. Most importantly, Josh knew the Lord Jesus. He gave his heart to the Lord at an early age and was actively involved in his church and youth missions. We know he is with his Lord now and we look forward to the day when we can be reunited with him for eternity. Until then, our hearts will ache as we miss him and his many gifts. He is survived by many friends; his three brothers, Joe, Jacob, and Jeremiah Morrissette; his parents, Joe and Kris Morrissette; his grandparents, Joe and LaVerne Morrissette and Al and Shirley Grubb; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
