Murriel Glatt

Murriel M. Glatt, 70, Bismarck, went to her heavenly father on October 31, 2005 at a local care center. Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at the Church of the Ascension, Bismarck, with the Rev. Marvin Klemmer officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 9:00 PM Thursday at Eastgate Funeral Service where a vigil/rosary will be held at 7:00 that evening. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church. Murriel was born on September 3, 1935 in Driscoll, ND, the daughter of Chauvin and Bernice Schmidkunz Belile. On May 29, 1954 she married Victor Glatt. They were married for 43 years, until Victor's death in 1997. Murriel worked as a Certified Nurses Aide at St. Alexius Hospital for 22 years. Later in life Murriel sold Avon products and provided in-home day care. Murriel enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren who were her pride and joy. She was a people person who enjoyed telling her life stories to her family and all her friends. She enjoyed her large extended family, crossword puzzles, card games and Scrabble. Murriel is survived by four daughters and four sons-in-law, Cathy David Jones of Columbia, AL, LaVonne Gloria, Mary Bruce Zelmer all of Bismarck, Vicki Stacy Miles of Ft. Pierre, SD, and Larry Ensz of Lincoln, ND; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Roger Theresa Glatt, Victor Jr. Dorothy Glatt, Jerry Kim Glatt, all of Bismarck and Randy Glatt of Randolph, MA; twenty-five grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Garnet Clarence Berg of Driscoll, Leila Richard Carlson of Cissna Park, IL, Ardeen Brenneise of Bismarck, and Roxeen Richard LeMieux of Globe, AR; six brothers and six sisters-in-law, Wayne Sylvia Belile of Sterling, ND, Curtis Dorothy Belile of Virginia Beach, VA, Chauvin Judy Belile of Blythe, CA, Art Edna Belile of Bismarck, Jerry Dorothy Belile of Carrington, ND and Donald Katherine Belile of Bismarck; a very special family friend who was like a daughter to Murriel, Brenda Mclellan; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter, Bonnie Ensz who died in 2004; her future son-in-law, Christopher "Kit" Ulmer who died in 2005; her parents; one brother, Loudell Belile; and one brother-in-law, Roger Brenneise.
