William Forsch

William Forsch, 89, Bismarck, died May 6, 2006 at a local hospital after battling cancer. Services will be held at 11 AM Thursday at the Eastgate Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Darrel Aleson officiating. No visitation will be held. A prayer service will be held at 7 PM Wednesday at Eastgate Funeral Service. William was born in Mott, ND, on February 26, 1917, to Phillip and Carolina Kirchman Forsch. He was raised in Mott, where he attended school and later attended NDSSS at Wahpeton, ND. William married Edith Horner on September 17, 1939. They resided in Mott until 1966, and then moved to Bismarck. William and his wife, Edith, and two sons, Roger Forsch and Garret Forsch, owned and operated an appliance/TV business in Mott until 1966. William was also a licensed pilot, and owned and operated the Mott city Air Ambulance Service. William was an active businessman in the community to improve the economy in the Mott community all the years he lived there. William moved to Bismarck, where he was employed at Thomas Appliance and later retired in Bismarck. William loved the outdoors, enjoying many memories of hunting and fishing with his sons and grandsons. He loved his work shop, where he completed many beautiful wood products for family and friends. William was always dedicated to helping his family on many projects for his vast knowledge. William and Edith were also active members in the Wally Byam Airstream Club, where they traveled and met numerous friends within the U.S. William for years, dedicated his time and technical talents for setting up conventions William is survived by his wife, Edith Horner Forsch; his sons, Roger Rosemary Forsch and Garret LaDonna Forsch; his grandchildren, Kevin Carroll Forsch, Tim Catherine Forsch, Chad Kim Forsch, and Kimberly Steve Erickson; his brothers, Art Marylyn Hummel and John Hummel Jr.; his sisters, Eleanor Johnson, Hilda Albert Gruebele, and Meridean Gary Sprecker; and the "Special Friendship" of the Gaylen Dewing family. William was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Alvin and Jakie; and his sisters-in-law, Claudia and Esther.
