Katherine "Katie" Bosch

Katherine Bosch, 84, Bismarck, died March 19, 2015, at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 12:30 PM at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Bismarck with Rev. Msgr. Thomas Richter officiating. Burial will be at the ND Veterans Cemetery on Monday at 3:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 – 9:00 PM at Eastgate Funeral Service in Bismarck where a rosary/vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday one hour prior to the service at the church. Katherine “Katie” was born on March 16, 1931, in Napoleon, ND, the daughter of George and Katherine (Wald) Doll. She married Alex Bosch on May 18, 1953. They were married in Napoleon, and two days later, they moved to Bismarck and started their family there. Katie worked at the Fleck House and later got a job with AmeriPride working there until she retired in 2004. Katie enjoyed life to the fullest from spending time in her garden soaking up the sun to listening to her husband’s band playing for wedding dances. She could never eat enough fried chicken or George’s chicken off the grill. She loved going to the bowling alley to watch her son and grandson, Mitch, bowl. She was the life of the party with a great sense of humor. She was always waiting on her family and making sure everyone had enough to eat. She was always cooking something up, from her hamburger hot dish, which the grandkids devoured, to the best Hungarian dill pickles, lots of German dishes, and everyone loved her homemade chicken noodle soup and ribble soup which was her specialty. Her family would always tell her to sit down and eat as she never took time for herself. If she wasn’t at the Eagles playing bingo, she loved the drive to Prairie Knights Casino to play the nickel machines. She loved being with her family, seeing her grandkids, they were the love of her life. Her family is going to miss her beautiful smile. Katie will be deeply missed by her husband Alex of 61 years; her daughter, Linda (George) Rennich of Mandan; her son, David (Nancy) Bosch of Bismarck; her sister, Barbara Bosch of Bismarck; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Wendelin, Joe, Tony, George, Mike, John, Matt, Stanley and Andy Doll; and her sisters, Agatha (Doll) Keller, Maggie (Doll) Severin, and Margaret (Doll) Schatz.
