Louise Lorraine Gobbs

Louise Lorraine Lossing Gobbs 53, Bismarck died June 13, 2011 as a result of an auto accident. Services will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, June 16, at Lutheran Church of the Cross, Bismarck, ND, with the Rev. Donna Dohrmann officiating. Burial services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, June 18, at Rock Springs Cemetery, west of Reserve, MT. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E Divide Ave, Bismarck. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Visitation will be held at Fulkerson Funeral Home in Plentywood, MT, on Friday, June 17, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm MT. Louise was born January 7, 1958, in Plentywood, MT, to James Jim and Rose Lossing. Louise graduated from Plentywood High School in 1976. Louise attended and graduated from Montana State University with a BS degree in Agriculture in 1980. On July 3, 1982, she married Loren Gobbs of Culbertson in Plentywood. Loren and Louise lived in Huron, SD after being married where Louise worked with FSA and did crop adjusting. In 1984, they relocated to Bismarck where they currently reside. Loren and Louise had two children Ryan Tanya of Plentywood, MT, and Cody Currently attending School of Mines in Rapid City, SD. Louise worked for Farm Credit Services in Mandan, Drug Free North Dakota and currently was employed by Bismarck Parks and Rec. Louise was generous of giving of her time and talents. She taught Sunday school for many years. 4-H was the passion of her life. She was a 4-H leader for 28 years. She worked on several committees within Burleigh Co. 4-H. She loved livestock and working with 4-H steers. Rodeo was another main enjoyment. She was a very skilled seamstress and sewed many rodeo pageant queen dresses and blouses. Louise also enjoyed photography and doing scrapbooks. Louise is survived by her husband, Loren and her two sons Ryan Tanya, Plentywood, MT, and Cody, Bismarck; two grandchildren, Shelby and Kendel Gobbs; mother, Rose Lossing, Redstone, MT; brother, Jim Lossing Beth Redstone, MT; sister, Vickie Bailey John, Baker, MT, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, James Lossing; sister, Marjorie Lossing; and nephew, Jason Lossing.
