Louise McCullough

Louise McCullough, 86, Wilton, died November 7, 2006. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, Wilton. Louise was a member of Sunne Lutheran church. However, due to construction on the church the funeral service will be held at First Presbyterian, Wilton. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 PM Thursday and 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Friday at Parkway Funeral Service where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be held at Sunne Lutheran Cemetery, Wilton. Louise McCullough was born on August 15, 1920, at Streeter, ND, to Henry and Eva Veil Wolf. At age 5 or 6 the family moved to Kintyre where she attended country school. Louise was confirmed at Napoleon Lutheran church. She went to work for Patterson Ranch at Pettibone, then worked for Pete and Bill Michelson at Regan. Louise married Clayton McCullough of Regan on August 8, 1941, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bismarck. They moved to a farm northeast of Regan and lived there until Clayton's passing away on December 11, 2001. Louise then moved into the Wilton apartments in 2002 and lived there until the time of her death. In 1986, Louise and Clayton spent two weeks in Germany with Louise's brother Art and his wife Christine. Louise enjoyed being a grandmother and great-grandmother, always wanting to baby-sit. She loved to bake, especially cookies and bread and making jelly. She took great pride in her gardening and enjoyed camping and fishing with Clayton. Louise loved to quilt at the Sunne Lutheran Church of Wilton where she was a member for many years. Louise frequently visited the Wilton Senior Center and enjoyed playing "Hand and Foot." She never missed going to the car races with her grandson David. In fact, she went to all the races until this past summer. Louise also sat on the election board for many years. Louise is survived by her daughter, Betty Larry Falkenstein of Wilton, ND; her two grandsons, Steven Connie Falkenstein of Mandan, ND, and David Tammie Falkenstein of Bismarck, ND; her one granddaughter, Pamela Todd Weisenburger of Wilton, ND; her two great-granddaughters, Brianna and McKenna Weisenburger; her one great-grandson, Josef Falkenstein; her six sisters, Lydia Wallenvein of Tuttle, ND, Rose Lanz Daryl of Glen Ullin, ND, Frieda Magee Richard of Watertown, SD, Viola Bertsch of Lakeland, FL, Shirley Bertsch of Jamestown, ND, and Lenora Woehl of Bismarck, ND; her brother, Art Christine of Germany; her many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Randy, SuAnn, Annette, Chris and Matthew Olson, Esther Murrey, Vivian Hansen, and Joann Schumacher. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton, in 2001; her parents; her brothers, Edwin and August; her sister, Carolyn Wallenvein; her two half-sisters; and her half-brother.
