Nora Eileen Anderson

Nora Eileen Anderson, 85, Bismarck, died December 3, 2014, in the Bismarck Sanford Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 pm Tuesday, December 9, at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, 519 Raymond St, Bismarck, with Rev. Msgr. Thomas Richter officiating. Burial will be held at Fisher Cemetery, Tappen. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm Monday, December 8, at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, where a rosary/vigil will begin at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Nora was born November 10, 1929, to Daniel and Mary Noonan Keily at the family farm north west of Tappen. She spent her childhood on the farm with her six sisters and one brother. Nora attended school at Tappen and graduated from Tappen High School. She attended St. Alexius School of Nursing. She furthered her education by becoming a Nurse Anesthetist and obtaining her Master's in Education. She worked as a Nurse Anesthetist and Educator for over 50 years, finishing her career at Medcenter One in Bismarck. She married Wayne Anderson and was blessed with 5 children. As a military family, they lived in various places including Panama, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania. She moved back to Bismarck with her family in 1979. Nora's life was centered around her faith and her family. She was an active member of Cathedral Parish serving as Eucharistic minister and teaching confirmation classes for many years. Nora loved to garden and cook and enjoyed sharing her knowledge with her children and grandchildren. Nora was an avid reader and enjoyed discussing issues of politics and current events. In her later years, Nora struggled with health issues. In August 2005, she received a kidney transplant from her sister Rosemarie. She was so thankful for this selfless and loving gift that allowed her to enjoy her family, especially her grandchildren. In the last year and one half, she received dialysis at the Sanford Kidney Dialysis unit, and was most appreciative of the care she received. Nora leaves behind her children, Tag Camie Anderson, Bismarck, Eric Karen Anderson, Spencer IA, Leif Anderson, Bismarck, Meghan Steve Fallgatter, Driscoll, and Kathy Bob Gorski, Kirkland WA; her grandchildren, Jimi Alex Wethor, Paxton, Christiana, Aidan, Joshua, Jarren, Caleb, Brighton, Elijah "Sharky", Kelby, Aislin, Asher, and great-grandchildren, Graham and Brydger; sisters, Ione Baker, Seattle, Margaret Keily, Steele, and Rosemarie Birrenkott, Mandan; and brother, Dan Keily, Tappen. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Viola Currie, Danile Keily-Zent, Gladys Keily, Catherine Keily, Mae Keily; an infant brother; and her infant grandson Boden.
