Pauline Bergley

Pauline Bergley, 70, Bismarck, died July 26, 2004 at her home with her family around her. Pauline will be remembered for her caring compassion for others, her gift of giving, and her love of God. She was a perfect mother, an exceptional grandma, and a terrific friend, who gave of herself each and every day. Even in the end she was more concerned about what others needs were over her own personal needs. Services will be held at 10:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Steve Sathre officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Thursday and Friday at Eastgate Funeral Service where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 PM Friday. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church. Pauline was born October 9, 1933 to Joseph and Frances Kosson Leiphon in Devils Lake, ND. She was raised and educated in Devils Lake and attended the Devils Lake Catholic Academy where she graduated in 1951. After graduation, she went to Minneapolis to attend beauty school. She returned and married Fredrick George Bergley, Sr. on January 5, 1953. To this union four children were born. Pauline and Fred resided in several communities within North Dakota before settling in Bismarck. Pauline was a day care provider for many young children in the Bismarck community until she began working at the Burleigh County Senior Center and later at Medcenter One as a cook. She was forced into early retirement, due to her health, in 1989. Pauline's faith always played a role in her life. Through her helping at the church with receptions and rummage sales to teaching Sunday School, to the music she played "loudly" to drown out her stresses and allow God to lead her through her trials and burdens. She had a lovely collection of porcelain angel dolls and angels could be found everywhere around her. She shared her faith with her children, her grandchildren, and to all whose paths she crossed. Pauline is survived by her daughters, Fay Bergley, Bismarck, and Nancy Wayne Storick, Mandan; her grandsons, "the angels of her life", Austin and Coltin Storick; her "adopted" family, Mark Kim Molesworth and her "adopted" grandchildren, Bethany and Drew Molesworth; her brothers, John Aggie Leiphon, Kearney, Nebraska, and Joe Mary Lou Leiphon, Minot, North Dakota; her sister, Dorothy Dale Togstad, Wilbur, Nebraska; several nieces and nephews; and many friends, along with special friends, Trish, Terry and their children Clay and Carli. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, September 14, 1987, her children, Fredrick George Bergley, Jr., in September 1963 and her daughter, Cheryl Marie in April 1986, her parents, Joseph and Frances Leiphon, and her sisters, Lavina Bosch and Annie Leiphon.It's OK to laughIt's OK to cryBut most importantIt's OK.
