Saige Blotske

Saige Emma Blotske, 8, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the home of her grandparents, Rod and Karen Backman, on August 20, 2007. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday at First Evangelical Free Church in Bismarck with Rev. Terry Kern officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Bismarck. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday and from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm on Thursday at Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church. Saige was born on November 1, 1998, in Glenwood Springs, CO, where she attended Basalt Elementary in Basalt, CO, through second grade. Saige and her family recently moved to Bismarck where both of her parents grew up. Saige enjoyed taking walks around the neighborhood, riding bikes with her family, and she had a passion for listening to music. She loved playing with bells, riding horse, and cuddling with Mom or Dad in her rocking chair, and like most little girls, Saige loved to shop! In her short life, Saige endured a large number of trials and pain, but always with a bright smile and contagious cheerful spirit. Most of all, Saige loved Jesus with all her heart. She loved to listen to songs about Him, pray to Him, and simply hear His name. She now resides with her Lord and Savior singing, dancing, and feasting with Him. Saige will be deeply missed by her parents, Trevor and April Blotske; her brother, Kohl, and her sister, Jaida all of Bismarck; her grandparents, Rod and Karen Backman and Robert and Theodora Blotske, all of Bismarck; her great-grandparents, Gary and Margie Cleveland of Bismarck, and William and Clara Ferderer of Mandan; her aunts and uncles, Josh and Rachel Backman Miller of Bismarck, Beau Backman of Bismarck, Eric Backman of Minneapolis, MN, Rob and Cheri Blotske of Rifle, CO, Neil and Shannon Blotske of Rapid City, SD, Micah and Bridget Blotske Davidson of Bismarck, Wayne and Flor Blotske of New Castle, CO, and Chet Blotske of Bismarck; and her special cousins include, John and Katie Kusler, Maddie Miller, Kelsey, James and Trinity Blotske, Ethan and Camden Blotske, Amanda, Meagan, Lexus and Petra Davidson, and Katie Blotske.
