Sheila E McFall

Sheila Elaine McFall, 59, died March 21, 2012, at her home with her husband and daughter close by her side in Lincoln, North Dakota. She bravely battled a rare deadly cancer for over 2 ½ years. The cancer triumphed over her physically but never came close to conquering the battle against her strong and fiery spirit. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Sheila was born June 14, 1952, in Bismarck, ND, the daughter of Frederick and Mary Boehm Spitzer. Sheila attended grade school at Northridge, Hughes Junior High School, and graduated from Bismarck High School in 1970. Sheila worked at the Ramkota and the Printers as a Sales Rep, and finished her career at the Finder/Bismarck Tribune before she retired due to health concerns. Sheila's love of life and love of family were remarkable. Traveling to Colorado to visit with her daughter Michelle, son in law Tom and three grandchildren Alex, Jess, and Rachel was probably her most favorite thing to do. Holidays were a wonderful opportunity for her to spend quality time with her family and spend some serious time shopping…which she also loved. She also had a wonderful "crew" of girlfriends that loved to travel, and have serious fun together. She loved spending time at the lake boating and enjoying the sunshine. She, like her mother, enjoyed trips to the casinos and especially to the great shows in Las Vegas. Sheila was married to Rod Sabot in 1977 and later divorced. In a fairy tale ending Sheila was married to Robert McFall in 2005 who was her childhood sweetheart. Seriously, Sheila believed that "Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives you a fairy tale"….and that was her marriage to Bob. Sheila is survived and loved by her husband Bob; her daughter Michelle and son-in-law Tom Steidler, her pride and joy three grandchildren, Alex, Jess, and Rachel Steidler; her sisters, Deb Hunt and Vonnie Bellinger and their spouses Mike and John; and stepson Robert Madison James McFall and stepdaughter Patience McFall. She was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew, Wade A. Balzer.
